As part of the recent MyQS upgrade, we’ve introduced a more secure login process.
Your MyQS account and product access haven’t changed. The upgrade has introduced a more secure login process, so you’ll need to set up your new login method the first time you sign in after the upgrade.
Depending on the options available to you, this may include setting up a passkey, creating a new password, and setting up multi-factor authentication (MFA).

How to set up your new MyQS login
1. Enter your email address
Go to my.qs.com and enter the email address you use to access your MyQS account.
Select Continue.
2. Verify your email address
You’ll be prompted to check your email. We’ll send a six-digit verification code to your email address.
Enter the code and select Continue.
You’ll also need to agree to the QS General Terms and Conditions to continue.
3. Set up a passkey
You’ll have the option to set up a passkey on your device.
A passkey lets you sign in using a secure credential stored on your device. Depending on your device, you may be able to use your fingerprint, Face ID or device PIN to authenticate.
You can set one up during this process or choose to continue without one.
4. Create a password
If you continue without setting up a passkey, you’ll be asked to create a new password.
The screen will show the password requirements. Make sure your password meets all of the requirements before selecting Continue.
5. Set up multi-factor authentication (MFA)
You’ll next need to set up an additional authentication method. You can either:
- Set up a compatible Authenticator app, or
- Use a security key
Using an Authenticator app
You can use a compatible Authenticator app, such as Microsoft Authenticator or Google Authenticator.
- Open your Authenticator app.
- Scan the QR code displayed in MyQS.
- Your MyQS login will be added to the Authenticator app.
- Return to MyQS and enter the six-digit code shown in your Authenticator app.
- Select Continue.
Tip: If you’re using Microsoft Authenticator and you have many accounts already set up, the newly added MyQS login may appear at the bottom of your list. You may need to scroll down to find it.
Using a security key
A security key is a physical authentication device that you can use to sign in securely.
If you choose this option, follow the instructions shown on screen to connect and register your security key.
6. Save your recovery code
You’ll be given a recovery code as an additional way to recover access to your account.
Keep your recovery code somewhere secure. You may need it if you lose access to your Authenticator app or other MFA method.
Select Continue once you’ve securely saved the code.
7. Recognise your device
You may also be given the option to recognise the device you’re currently using.
If you select this option, you may not need to complete the same verification steps every time you sign in from this device.
You can choose whether or not to recognise your device.
8. Complete your profile
Once your new login setup is complete, you’ll be taken into MyQS and may be prompted to review or complete your profile.
Follow the prompts to complete your profile.
9. Access your QS products
Once you’ve completed the login setup, you’ll arrive at your MyQS homepage.
You’ll see the QS products available to you, such as:
- QS Analytics – access your subscribed Analytics datasets.
- QS Rankings Preview (Fact Files) – access your institution’s Rankings Preview Fact Files, badges and certificates.
Select the relevant product to access it as usual.
