We are excited to announce the launch of the QS Contributor Status in our ongoing commitment to fostering global academic engagement and providing comprehensive information to students worldwide.
This new initiative is designed to recognize institutions that actively engage with us by submitting data for our rankings.
What is the QS Contributor Status?
The QS Contributor Status is a new recognition for institutions that submit data to QS but are not eligible to be ranked within our main tables (regional rankings, sustainability).
Institutions that achieve this status will be listed in a Topuniversities.com article and acknowledged on their individual university profiles.
This initiative provides a platform for these institutions to gain visibility and recognition.
Why have we introduced the QS Contributor Status?
The QS Contributor Status provides students with more information than ever before about their potential study destinations and rewards institutions who engage with the process.
We aim to:
- Provide students with more data: Build a more comprehensive data set that students can use to make informed decisions about their education and future.
- Increase Institutional Engagement: Encourage more institutions to engage with QS by submitting data, thereby fostering a more inclusive academic community.
- Enhance Visibility: Provide visibility to institutions that are not currently ranked, allowing them to showcase their contributions and achievements to prospective students and stakeholders.
Who qualifies for the QS Contributor Status?
An institution can be awarded the QS Contributor Status for the regional rankings if it meets the following criteria:
- Has submitted at least 5 of the 15 institutional data fields on the QS HUB.

- Access to a Broader Audience: Institutions can reach a wider audience of prospective students who rely on QS rankings for making educational choices.
The QS Contributor Status represents our commitment to inclusivity and recognition of all institutions that contribute to the academic landscape.
Through this initiative we aim to create a more dynamic and interconnected global academic community and invite all eligible institutions to participate and join us in this exciting new chapter.
