QS Alumni Outcomes indicator currently features in our Graduate Employability Ranking. You can see the methodology for this ranking here
This indicator seeks to shine a light on which institutions are producing impactful graduates in all walks of life, from performing arts to finance, medicine to politics.
The list is continually updated with the principles of diversity and validity at its core.
We look at the following criteria when deciding whether to use a list. There is an element of discretion here, and this should not be read as a concrete set of criteria:
- It has been in circulation for more than one edition
- Its publisher is well known and valid
- The list truly presents regional or global people of impact
We currently use more than 40 lists. We do not publish this full list. Some examples do however include:
- Forbes 30 under 30
- Global thinkers top 100
- The Root 100
- 100 most influential Africans
To create the index, we collection information on where the alumnus went to school, which degree they completed and in which subject, and their age.
